Full-Time Architect / Architectural Technician
Job Description

With our continued growth and new projects, we are looking for experienced Architects / Architectural Technicians / Architectural Assistants to strengthen our team and be part of the JP Construction team. to assist the architectural team in the preparation of designs and drawings for our clients’, working across many sectors. You must be a passionate and driven individual with a digital mindset, in order to provide high quality sustainable design and project delivery and meet client requirements.
Job Duties:
Producing detailed drawings for building regulations applications and tender packages
Undertake initial review of own drawings for completeness and accuracy prior to formal review
Attending regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists
Preparing drawings planning applications and maintaining all revisions of project drawings
Update and maintain design records for future reference purposes
Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required
Keeping within financial budgets and time deadlines
Assist in team design reviews in order to evaluate design concepts and make recommendations to resolve problems
Work with project teams to execute projects on time and on budget
Comply with company design, safety, quality, environmental compliance and procedural standards
Requirements:
A Degree or certification (or equivalent experience) in architecture, architectural technology and/or construction
Robust design and technical knowledge in buildling and construction is essential
Confident liaising with all contractors and subcontractors
Proven experience of computer aided design within construction and/or architectural design capabilities
Strong interpersonal skills are required along with
Knowledge of design software, visual awareness and eye for details
Able to work effectively individually and enjoy contributing to the wider team to achieve targets and objectives as required
Excellent time management and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Experience of working on international projects would be beneficial
